Beauty Find: Current Favorites

I don't really have month by month favorites, but I do have current favorites! I use most of these products on a day to day basis. Each one of these work so well with my skin and some are just really fun! A couple I haven't had for very long but I enjoy them just the same!

Shall we get into it? I think we shall!

1. Not your mother's Beach Babe texturizing sea salt spray.
I know I have posted about this in another post, but I really do like this stuff! I really like how I can spritz this on my hair and walk out the door!

2. Batiste tinted dry shampoo.
Uuuh-mazing stuff! Great for the 2 day or 3 day hair. Plus when you spray this stuff on your hair blends well into your hair, it's great when you're on a time crunch and you don't want to look like you're prematurely graying. ; )

3. Nerium night cream. This stuff is unbelievable! So amazing! So worth the price. My skin has so improved in just the 2 months of using it. It's so moisturizing and leaves my skin baby butt soft each day I use it! I have dry/oily skin and I have had NO trouble with it irritating my skin or making it more oily. If you want more info on this product: www.styledbyryn.nerium.com.

4. Shocking Hot pink hairbands.
I heart these. They are so cute. Especially when I do a messy topknot or high ponytail. They are the perfect pink, you won't mind exposing them. If they had a whole pack, I would totally buy it! But I got like 4 or 5 in a pack with more neutrals at target. So I guess I'll have to buy another pack! : )

5. EOS lip balm. My absolute fave brand of lip balm (and shaving cream)! Trust me, I've tried many! I've been using this stuff for about 3-4 years and I just adore this stuff. It has a creamy texture, minty flavor & leaves your lips luscious! ; )

6. Pacifica eyeshadow palette in enlighten. Though it will work well in the fall, it's working great for me right now! With gold and the peach color, you can't really go wrong with it! It's perfect. It also stays on all day, without making you have a crease. Perfect!

7. Love & Toast,  Honey Coconut and mandarin tea.
I'm one to layer my perfume on, just loke i like to layer my clothes... I like the results usually, and I'm one to spray as much on so I can smell it too, because what's the point of having a yummy fragrance on, when you can't smell and enjoy it too! These are perfect for laying, not a strong fragrance at all but just enough that you know you smell good!
(This is me & my sorry attempt at showing you how I spray my perfume on!)

8. Butter London nailpolish in Wellies.
This is such a fun color! I enjoyed it so much when I had it on my nails. It was super neon, but not a gross neon. I just like this color so much! It has a yellow-y cast to the green. Such a fave!

9. Philosophy clear days ahead.
This face wash is super gentle, yet so refreshing! It help keep zits at bay. And it isn't trying at all. Such a good product!

10. Maybelline great lash in I see blue limited addition.
Perfect pop o' color! I just really like the blue. It's not a true royal blue, rather a periwinkle of sorts. But I still adore this stuff!

Whelp! I hope you enjoyed my current favorites as much as I enjoy mine! If you want me to review a product(s), leave comment below, and I will try my hardest to review it! : ) love you all so so much!

Beauty find: colored mascara & dry shampoo

So, I was grocery shopping the other day (and what's grocery shopping, w/o perusing through the cosmetics?) Well the Kroger I went to, has sort of like a "what's new" section. So I was looking and low & behold, I found colored mascara!!! It's by Maybelline New York great lash limited addition. (I secretly want them to stay forever!) They have: teal, emerald, hot pink, purple, berry & royal blue! I didn't buy any that day, buuut then I bought two tubes a few days later. : ) Colors I bought were: I See blue (royal blue) & So Very Berry (berry). I may get more too! ; )

(Blue)
(Berry)
I've literally been wanting a periwinkle mascara for about 10 months, I bought one tube of CK mascara and it totally wasn't worth the $16.00 I paid for it! So I was super excited when I found this mascara! It's such an unexpected detail to put on your face. I'm going to have fun with these! P.S. these tubes are under $5.00!!!

And the next product that I really like, is: Batiste dry shampoo in medium & brunette, which blends with tour hair! This is a fabulous product! If your tired of using dry shampoo that makes you look like you're prematurely graying & won't brush out of your hair, then this product is for you! And the scent is sooo lovely! It's very perfume-y!
This product is a product of the UK. It's slightly expensive for just a can of dry shampoo, totaling at $8.99. (The Lord totally rocked my world, when I was in Marshall's and I found multiple cans for $5.99!!! He totally gives you the desires of your heart! Even if its a tiny thing like dry shampoo!)
Such a great product! I will be sure to buy more.  When I'll be in England I should stock up! ; )

(On a side note, did you know that the US dollar is stronger than pounds? Kind of strange, but awesome just the same! I'm a sponge right now, I'm soaking up all information about London! I want to visit so badly! I also want to meet ALL of the YouTubers I've grown to love & watch, I'll  post a blog about that shortly!)

Hope you enjoy! And you should try these products out and then comment below to tell me if you like them! 👇👇👇

Love y'all! -Ryn

DIY post: scoop hemline

So this one is a quicky! Not too hard! And it's an instant slimmer! Wahoo!

If your hemline is straight across, it's a horizontal line. It can break yourself, cut you in half, but if your hemline is curved, it draws the eye upward, instantly slimming you. : )

What you'll need:
T-shirt (I happens to make this one!)
Scissors

Step 1.
Get a t-shirt.

Step 2.
Lay flat.

Step 3.
Fold in half.
Seams together.

Step 4.
Cut a rounded line around the hem.

Ta-daaaaa! It's an instant boost in confidence with a slimmer looking physique! ; )

Happy Friday! Love you! -Ryn

Style Find: Nordstrom goodies

Between falling in the shower and bruising my knee on Monday & yesterday stepping on my make-up mirror (Now, I know why I have calluses on the bottom of my footsies!) I've had a pretty adventurous week! How's yours been?! Haha!

So, This past weekend I went to Nordstrom twice! (It was the end of the anniversary sale) And although I wanted to walk a away with a boatload of shoes and handbags, I refrained! I did walk away with some awesome finds though!

Friday I found:
Butter nail polish, they had a deal going on that if you bought 2 bottles of Butter London nail polish you would get one free! And of course I found three I liked from the get go! ; ) and my mama was so generous, that she bought ALL two/three nail polishes!
(Colors are: blue-ish/purple; knackered, copper/champagne; champers & green; wellies.)

And a pair of round sunnies : ) like they are 1970's-esque! Super cute! These were $12.00!

Then on Saturday I found:
MAC candy yum yum lipstick. Super neon. Super cute & super matte! Perfect! Plus my sister blessed me with the lipstick! Bonus!

Then I found some adorable fox post earrings in a gold tone! Super duper cute! It'll be uber cute with the necklace I'm about to make! Which those were $4.00 :)

And I also have been wanting some midi knuckle rings and I totally found some! They were $8.00 for 4! Not too shabby at all!

(Sorry but this was post polishing my nails, excuse the edges!)

Even with this small of purchases, it can totally impact your wardrobe considerably! A more fun & carefree-ness to each of your outfits you pair with. There's no need to ALWAYS buy big purchases for your wardrobe every time you go shopping, you can totally hit the makeup department & jewelry counter when shopping and supplement your wardrobe that way! :)

If you have always thought that Nordstrom was for the hoity-toity, you are totally wrong! Yes they do have items that are $300 for 1 item, but then there are times when you can find a REALLY good item in Nordstrom... For reasonable amount of moola! I would say Nordstrom is a high end way of shopping, but you can get amazing deals too!

Do not be afraid of shopping in Nordstrom! If you are, go to Nordstrom rack first. See how awesome it is, and then proceed to Nordstrom! I'm pretty sure you're going to like it! And in every state & city they are a lil bit different! But still just as much fun! Plus most Nordstrom stores have a restaurant. Plus for an extra pick-me-up there are coffee bars in every store! My two favorite drinks are: cold brew coffee, with Sugar-free  mocha syrup & a lot of half&half and ginger peach ice tea! Soo yummy!

I'm hoping I'll get to the flagship store in Seattle, hopefully in February/March! : ) I'll let you know how that goes! ; )

One pet peeve that I have, I advise you not to do around me, is: to refer to Nordstrom as Nordstrom's. ugh, I cringe when people call it Nordstrom's! It's Nordstrom, people! There is no S on the end! Pronounce it Nordstrom, and I'll be a happy camper! Anyway, that's the end of my rant! Thank you & goodnight! Hahaha!

Well, how'd you like my mini haul?! Was it all that you had hoped for?! (Sarcasm) let me know in the comments down below or on Facebook: Lauryn Bray or on Instagram:@RynB :)

Have a happy day, okay?!

DIY Friday: Bejeweled Sweatshirt

Yay my favorite day of the week for you and me! DIY Friday!!! Sometimes it seems frazzled, because I seem to think the week is much longer than it really is, and I forget to do a DIY until the last minute... ; ) but I always have ideas swimmin' around in my noggin to pull from!

Thankfully this DIY was easy to accomplish! But it looks so chic! And I apologize if my DIY's have autumn/winter theme of clothing going on! I don't really mean for it to be like that, but 1. Autumn is my favorite time of year! and  2. You'll be able to wear these garments when the weather cools off! : )

Shall we jump into the instructions?! I think so!

First off:
Gather your supplies:
Crew neck sweatshirt ( I found mine in the men's department at H&M for $7.50, such a steal!)
Embroidery thread (you can certainly use normal sewing thread, I just prefer embroidery thread. It's more durable.)
Scissors
Beads (you'll need two hole beads) (I found mine at hobby lobby in the clearance section)
Needle
Pencil

1. Place the sweatshirt on a flat surface.
2. Place the beads on sweatshirt to your liking. ( I did, 3,4,3,4,3 for rows...)
3. Use pencil to mark on the sweatshirt wear you want the bead to go.

4. Thread your needle with 3 strands of the 6 strands of embroidery thread. And tie a knot.

5. Place the needle & thread on the inside of the sweatshirt and align the need to where the pencil marking is.

6. Sew on all the beads. Sew both holes on. Tie off each stitch.

7. And then you are done! Complete! Perfect!

This would be perfect with a bodycon pencil skirt and heels. Maybe a collared shirt underneath, topknot. Simply smashing, darling!

Here is the inspiration of the DIY, from j.crew's autumn collection through the years:

I hope you actually do this! It's super fun and I can't wait to wear mine! : ) enjoy & happy Friday!!! -Ryn
