Style find: Panama hat

Hi lovies, 

I gotta say I've wanted a hat like this for about a year and I had been searching & searching and quite frankly searching for a white Panama hat, and I had my eye on one that was on poshmark, but the seller was determined not to drop the price, buuut she finally did and I snatched it up! Iwas such a steal! And it's super cute, just in time for summer! It'll be super cute  if I go to an outdoor concert, with floral pants chambray, shirt and this hat! Über cute, I'd say.  

Now just to put this out there, a Panama hat is different from a fedora hat. The panama has a wider brim/bill. It doesn't usually have a flip in the back. So just wanted to inform you that the panama is not the same as the fedora. ; )

DIY Friday: Gym Tee pt.2

Here is part dos of the gym tee! I couldn't just leave it plain, I needed something more! So I gathered my supplies and images and totally transformed a plain white tank onto a whole other level! 

What you need: 

Computer and images of your choice

Transfer paper (you can get a pack at an office supply store) 

Iron

Step 1. Find an image & quote you like ( I used Audrey Hepburn) 

Step 2. Print out the image on a sheet of transfer paper, full size. Also if you're printing out letters or quotes, you'll need to flip the quote, so it's backwards.

Step 3. Cut the excess of the transfer away. Center it on your tee. Image face down on the t-shirt. 

Step 4. Set iron on medium-high heat. Iron the transfer paper, for about 10-30 seconds in circular motion. Check a corner of it to see if its sticking. 

Step 5. Let cool for a minute. Then peel the backing off. 

Step 6. Ta-da! You have a super cute workout tee!!!

Fancy Find: Hillsong concert

Amazing. Amazing. Uhh-mazing concert! If you haven't been to a Hillsong united concert yet, you really should! Its probably one of the only concerts where you can sing and raise your hands, and not be considered idolizing something/someone. Totally freeing! 

 And It was totally worth the money! i did NOT regret it! It was beautiful, incredible, fantastic, lovely,.. And that's only some of the words I came up with to describe it! It was just what I needed. And must I say, I just love Aussies! At least these Aussies, they have such genuine personalities. It was an incredible night. Saying I had fun would be an understatement! I probably will never forget it. Well done, Hillsong united, well done! 

I'm now curious as to what their church services are like at the main hub in Australia... Guess I'll have to find out! ; )

Aaand, a good friend of mine will be attending the hillsong concert at the Redrocks in Colorado on Thursday, and if there was a way, I would totally go! Gorgeous scenery & awesome tunes, sounds like a great Thursday!

P.s. This is the lip combo I was wearing at the concert & I just love it, it lasted the whole time! Even got a compliment out of it too! Not going to lie, I really like when that happens!

Soul searcher: busy

It's been a busy week!

Lets see, well first off, I've been taking care of my mom, she had quite a tumble the other day! She tripped and tumbled and fell off of a curb outside of the grocery store. She banged up both of her knees and hurt her shoulder & ankle. She's doing better but keep her in your prayers please. 

I'm pretty excited. I just did a styling last Monday, with more stylings on the way. Just need to spread the word! I have another styling sometime this week with about four or five new clients soon. 

Got some negative feedback from someone for the way I style my clients... Gotta prove them wrong, I guess! Ha! 

Working on some new jewels. Will post on Instagram & etsy at some point. I'll let you know so you can view & buy.

My bro-in-law made points with me. I got to ride with him the other day and it was actually quite pleasant! He and I had a heart to heart about driving, God, boys & traveling. It was something else. 

This week I'll be going to the Hillsong united concert. Pretty darn excited too! And I can't wait to hear Oceans live & in person!

Went grocery shopping today with my friend, Holly. We split ways while we were in sprouts.  And I can tell you it takes ALOT longer to shop for food when I'm by myself! It's ridiculous!

DIY Friday: Gym Tee pt. 1

This is the back of the tee...

This is a fun DIY! Right now I am into cute workout wear! 

My theory is: if you have really cute workout gear 1. You'll want to work out. 2. You'll feel cute working out! It's a bonus to actually get toned while looking cute! 😉 

Also, if you don't want to work out in this, but you do want to show it off, just wear it as a tank top! Who'll know, right?!

This is a 2 part DIY. But can I just say, its totally worth it and easy peasy to make! 

What you'll need: 

Men's t-shirt ( I used an XL tall from oldnavy.com, I like the length.)

Scissors 

Step one: lay your shirt out.

Step two: fold your shirt in half. And smooth out as many wrinkles as possible. 

Step three: use your scissors to cut the hem of the shirt to a baseball hem. (rounded hem) just eyeball it. 

Step four: cut the sleeves off, a rounded angle. 

 Step five: Cut neckline an inch to two inches below the actual neckline. Keep up with the curve of the neckline.

Step six: lay out the shirt. 

Step Seven: Take half an inch of left over fabric (I got it from the sleeve area) and cut it to make a strip. 

Step eight: gather the back, armhole to armhole together, bunch all the fabric together and hold.

Step nine: use the 1/2in. piece of fabric, tie it around the bunch. Then wrap it around the bunch a few times. And tie it off. Then cut use your scissors to cut the ends off. 

And then you are done with this part! Next week second part! Whoop whoop!

Styled: HannahLee

Yesterday, I shopped/styled my good friend & client, HannahLee. She wanted to go shopping for her month long excursion to France!!! So, We went to Northpark center and shopped til we dropped! We went everywhere! Nordstrom, Madewell, GAP, Loft, Bare Escentuals, lush, lulu lemon, Anthropologie, MAC cosmetics, oldnavy, free people,.. Etc! I told you we shopped hard! When got there we first ate lunch at the infamous breadwinners, then we started with Loft & ended with old navy! and then throw in a coffee from Nordstrom eBar in the mix of things that we did! And then whole foods for a snack, while HannahLee freaked out, how I wasn't eating any protein! I was hungry for watermelon!

So HannahLee had already made a list of things she was looking for, to incorporate into her wardrobe, which included a dress for two weddings she's attending, printed pants, lipgloss, sandals, etc. 

Jeans: GAP

What she bought: 

1 pair of floral pants

1 pair of printed jeans in olive green

1 blouse in cream

1 tea-length skirt in navy (funny story behind this skirt, I'll just say, trust your stylist!!!) 

1 chambray shirt

2 striped tank shirts in coral/purple & white/navy

1 Spanish looking floral shirt

1 scarf

1 striped s/s dress

1 tube lipgloss

And a pair of sandals she'll get from another gap store...

I feel as if I'm forgetting something, but yeah nothing she bought was full price except her lipgloss!!! All on sale and I believe it was well worth it! And great additions to her wardrobe!

Beauty find: NYX Lip cream

OMG! This stuff is uhh-mazing! 

Like I said a few posts ago, I'm on a red lipstick kick, well, I was watching MMandLshow on YouTube the other night and on one of their favorites videos, Laura mentioned she really liked the NYX soft matte lip cream. Of course hers was in pink, but she just loves it! So when I was at Nordstrom rack the other day to get a birthday gift, they have NYX products there, and so I checked to see if they had this lipgloss, and they did! So I wasn't sure if I wanted pink, but I did really like the red "Amsterdam" lip cream color (I even fooled my makeup artist sister with this color, since she thought this was MAC rubywoo lipstick)!!! It's the perfect texture on your lips! You can barely tell its on your lips. Its almost like a stain. it stays through everything. You may need to reapply throughout the day, but never the dame with a traditional lipgloss! i just love the matte-ness to it!

It's comes in a tube, like lipgloss but minus the gloss effect! Since I'm on a gloss hiatus, I'm so glad I picked this cream up! 

Right now I'm loving a natural bronzed face with a red lip! It's gorgeous to me!

And of course NYX soft matte lip cream in Amsterdam! 

It seems like a whole heck of a lot but I just like the way it looks! And I get so many compliments, which I mean is a bonus, for sure! 

The color is actually red, I promise! It's just the lighting that's making it seem pink!

I know I'll be purchasing more! It'll be the best when traveling! (which I'm planning to do very VERY soon!)  : ) 

Best thing about this lip cream is, it's only 6 buckaroos!!!
