Style Find: Wide-leg floral pants

We all have days were we feel fat... If you don't feel like this someday please share a comment with us and tell us how you do it!

But if you do feel fat some days, you just crave to be comfortable, right? You just want to go put on comfy pants. You don't care whether you're out and about or at work, you just want to wiggle you nose, and poof, there are your comfy clothes! But unfortunately, that never happens unless you have comfy clothes in the trunk of your car or you have them hidden in your desk or cubicle.

But we're creatures of comfort. we like it when we are comfortable & comforted! When we can throw something on and have be comfortable & have it look good also! I think I may have found the solution! Yayyyyyyyyyyy!

These Pants look amazing! They will flatter any size! They could be a Rayon Challis (a really flowy/drapey fabric) Elastic waistband ( Probably the elastic will only be in back) meaning they will be easy to slip on & off and not cutting off your circulation for some. and it will be easy to style with tucking shirts in them. And they are wide-leg. Like pallazzo type pants! Very free flowing!
They come in prints & solids. and you can usually pair with other prints (Such as stripes, polka-dots, other floral, checks, windowpane, Aztec... Etc!)

They pair nicely with tees, blazers, jean jackets, chambray, silky blouses, oxford button ups, peplum shirts, camp shirts, silk collared blouses, tanks, motorcycle jackets, baseball jackets, crew neck sweatshirts, sweaters, baseball shirts, graphic tees,  ...

You can pair these shoes with: Wedges, Oxfords, Loafers, sandals, Peep-toes, ballet flats, sneakers...
You can wear them with platforms too, just try not to wear with casual items like, just a t-shirt. It make s the whole outfit disproportioned when you pair dressier things with casual items. but if you throw a blazer on with it, you have a better way of making everything look put together.

These pants are great for relaxed work places, everyday wear & travel!

So I can find a least 24 outfits that surround those pants! I mean, 24 is a big number for just some pants! But do you see, that if you have tops & jackets in neutral colors, you have a better chance of getting more outfits out of some wild pants, than buying a specific shirt for those pants? Because if you do that your brain will only go to the outfit of: "That shirt can only go with those pants" rather than "I have at least 24 ways I can wear these pants! Pretty genius, I think!
And with neutrals, you can definitely pair with bright colorful shoes! You don't even need to match the colors, like I did here with the Gold Oxfords & Blue wedges!

Now you do see a coral pullover & a leopard peplum. Well you can definitely pair these items with these pants, Here's How:

Pants, Leopard Peplum, Jean Jacket
Pants, Coral Pullover, Jean Jacket
Pants, Leopard Peplum
Pants, Coral Pullover
Pants, Leopard peplum, Motorcycle Jacket
Pants, Coral pullover, Baseball jacket
Pants, Tee, Coral Pullover
Pants, Chambray, Coral pullover
Pants, Leopard peplum, baseball jacket

So go buy some right now!!! Or if you sew make them! : )

April showers bring may flowers!

So for my other business, Maude C. I do custom t-shirts & wedding jewelry among my jewelry & accessories! And a bride wanted me to custom make a keep garter and a toss garter... She wanted tulle, and her wedding colors were silver & gold. So I made them in gold tulle with off white shimmer tulle in between. Then I added a knockout rhinestone piece to the keep garter. And added gold buttons to the toss garter. I applied rhinestones to both garters as well. I think these are so gorgeous! But I could be a bit bias! 😉 The cool thing is, I made her sisters garters when she got married, I believe, 4-5 years ago! So this was so awesome to do! 😊 These debut on April 27th! Happy wedding time!

I've so enjoyed reading Lauryn's beautiful blog this month - lots of gorgeous ideas!
As I begin to write a brief Christmas comment, it comes to mind that my Christmas in Australia is quite different to that of the northern hemisphere.

I've always dreamt of a white Christmas, with sleigh bells, hot chocolate, snow and scarves. I've been blessed to have my dream come true twice in my life, firstly in Germany and then in Canada. The thing is, in my wintery Christmases, I found myself missing the hot summer. I missed the smell of sunscreen, and the fragrance of rain after a steamy afternoon. I missed eating Christmas fruits like mangos and peaches.

I remember being a little girl, and going to all the beautiful Christmas celebrations in a gorgeous Christmas dress lovingly made by my Grandmother. The dress would be sewn from Christmas printed fabric with sweet frills (not too many) and bells attached on red and green ribbons. I felt like a Christmas princess.

Speaking of my Grandmother and her beautifully crafted clothing always directs me to my love for clothing and the romance of fashion.
I truly believe that a dress is one of the most romantic items you'll ever own. Memories are created in dresses!

I remember the dress I was wearing when I had my first kiss - a vintage maxi dress with a cute print.
I remember the dress I wore to my first grown up new years eve party - a gorgeous chiffon floral with a 1920's cut my mother wore when she was a teenager.
I remember the dress I was wearing the night I met my husband - a 1960's inspired number with a favourite cardi (it was June in Queensland and cold).

These dresses will stay in my wardrobe as evidence of a beautiful life lived.
This Christmas, wear your favourite dress with the expectation to create a beautiful memory.

This photo was taken on my honeymoon - I call this dress my water colour dress, it was inspired by the 1920's cut my mother wore when she was a teenager.

It's August, so now I can talk about fall, right?!

I am in love with the season: autumn! I love everything fall! I love the smell, the candlelight, the drinks at Starbucks, the hayrides, the bonfires, the weather & especially the outfits! I like summer and all but as women, we don't like to be hot, so to stay cool we dress with as little as possible! No fashion required... But with fall, you can wear boots, scarves & cardigans, oh my! I'm telling you, I'm so excited!
