All Things Considered Glittered...

All things considered glittered...

Hello lovelies, my name is Ryn Bray... I live in the Fabulous city of Fort Worth Texas.
I am a clothing stylist and jewelry designer. I love coffee, sewing, traveling, beautiful things, shopping, striped tees, nail polish, scarves, black skinnies, my jobs, Plaid shirts, elbow patches, sunglasses, global girls, God, clothing, fabric... Instagram....And the list goes on and on and on...

The Holidays are in full swing! From Christmas parties, to taking family photos, to spending Christmas at one anothers homes to church festivities... And with NYE just around the corner, it's pretty busy in December! But just because its hectic, doesn't mean it can't be fabulous, right?!

So for festive parties that you are attending this year, you can totally wear:
Sequins! You're never too old & never too young to break out with a sequined number.

I mean this month is the only month of the year, you can look like a disco ball, and it's totally acceptable! ; )

You can dress sequins up or down, you can also accessorize with them too!

I love the sequined skirt with the plaid oxford look! So cute!
It's a nice happy medium... Of dressy casual! anybody can pull this look off.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are so many ways to incorporate sequins into an outfit! You can really dress them up or make them have a casual tone to them : ) Top 3 favorite looks are: Sequins & chambray (or plaid), A Sequined skirt and a tee & sequined elbow patches...

You can totally add small doses of sequins to an outfit... Whether it's shoes, clutch purse, hat, detailing on a shirt, a Peter Pan collar necklace, a skirt (pencil skirts are always super chic!), a jacket, dresses (but with dresses, espeacially full length numbers, If you want a cool, down to earth vibe, a leather motorcycle style jacket with it or even a classic denim jacket)

Ah I love this shirt!!! It's so stinkin' cute!

My favorite sequined items I love are the ones that are just "in the details"! I love the birds on this shirt. and elbow patches that are fun and an all year round thing... Which I love! You can't go wrong with hints of sequins in an outfit! It actually can give that extra punch to an outfit, whether it be in accessories on the clothing! What you don't want to do is add too many hints of sequins to one outfit... You want one standout sequined item of clothing or 1-3 accessories in an outfit... (the elbow patches go in the accessories catalog, FYI..,)
I hope this helps! Merry Christmas & Happy New year! - Ryn

NYE Sparkle - Guest Blogger- Lindsey Eryn

                   Hello Hello Darlings.

My name is Lindsey Eryn Clark - I am the co-founder of Coast to Coast Central & #CoastToCoastChallenge. If you haven't heard of it, you definitely must join us. Every Tuesday and Thursdays girls from all over the world come together to reinvent their closets, try out new fashion trends, and celebrate unique fashion and beauty on Instagram. Join us- we'd love to see you on the hashtag feed.

Moving on.

It's December 30th- that means New Years Eve is tomorrow!
Personally, NYE is one of my favorite holiday's to get dressed for. It's the holiday when you can shamelessly pull out all the extravagant pieces in your closet that you've been dying to wear all year! Fur! Glitter! Sparkles! Glitz! and Glam! You name it- that's what NYE is all about.

So here's the question: What makes a good new years look?
The answer: Going outside your "normal" in order to create something brilliantly glam.
Now, that doesn't mean that you have to spend hours getting ready.
It merely means: spice things up!!
There are plenty of tricks in the book that you can do in order to get a glam look without spending hours at the beauty parlor!

So let's break it down, shall we?

While the outfit itself is an important factor-- everything else can make or break your look.
Think: Hair, make up, nails, accessories.

When doing your hair make sure you're veering away from your everyday look and trying something bold.

One of my favorite looks is a top knot.
Viola!

The top knot is one of the easiest hairstyles to accomplish yet provides a chic and sophisticated look that will be sure to catch some eyes!

If you're feeling like getting extra glam- try adding a statement hairpiece to your top knot! It's pure beauty and perfect for NYE!

Next- it's all about your eyes! Your eyes are always an important part of your make-up and NYE is no exception.
Eyes and lips are the focal points of your face.
So, glam up your eyes.

How?
1. Glitter, baby!
Add some glitter to your color pallet! Whether it's glitter eyeshadow or a soft shimmer to highlight the corner of your eyes and under your brow glitter is perfect for the NYE look.

2. Lashes!
Yes, that's right! False eyelashes are the perfect way to make your eyes say "Va Va Voom!"
You can pick them up at your local beauty store, Target, or Walgreen's! They come in all different sizes. They are a minor investment in order to make a huge statement with your eyes. I promise- after you wear them once, you'll never want to take them off!

As for the rest of your make up- well, keep it bold & pretty.
New Years Eve is no time to hide in the shadows! This is your time to stand out and as shine bright.
Another one of my favorite tricks to brighten up the eyes is to use white shadow or a highlighter in the corner of your eyes in order to bring them to life! It makes the world of difference.

As for your cheeks - keep them pretty and rose-y!
Use a soft pink pallet and add some color to your pallet.

Lips! Lips! Lips!
One of the most important parts of your make up canvas!
My personal favorite is a bright red lip.
A girl can never go wrong with a bright red lip- it's absolutely stunning.
People always notice a girl who walks confidently in a room with a bright red lip- it's undeniable.

Last but not least-- your nails.
Whether you think people are looking at your nails or not- they are.
Keep your manicure fresh for NYE, ladies!

A simple way to add some glitz and glam for the NYE is to add a statement sparkle nail.
It's my personal favorite and a trend that you can implement into your everyday life.

Lovely, right?

Whether you have big party plans or are planning a small house get together, get bold and creative with your NYE outfit!
It's a day of celebration & another reason to get dressed up. One of the best parts of being a girl is being able to get creative with our attire.
The options for NYE outfits are endless. Remember: Say farewell to your everyday office look and say hello to glitz and glam. Don't be afraid to try something new and go outside of your comfort zone. Without fail, every time I've tried something new and gone outside of my comfort zone I've fallen in love with my outfit. Whatever you wear- wear it with confidence! That's the key to pulling off any style or outfit.

Well, darlings! I can't wait to see and hear about how your NYE outfits went! I'm sure all of you will look absolutely brilliant!

Be sure to connect with me on Instagram or shoot me an email!
I'd love to chat with you.

xoxo,

Day 25: Tiz Huch - Christmas Blessings

Tiz Huch is a Co-Pastor with her husband, Larry Huch, of DFW New Beginnings Church in Dallas, TX,
Co-Host of worldwide TV Program "New Beginnings", Author, Public Speaker, Businesswoman, Artist, and Interior Designer.
But, most importantly, she is a wife, mother and grandmother! The number one passions and priorities of her life are God and
her family. Her new book "Releasing Family Blessings", is co-authored with her husband, Larry, of 36 years. It is dedicated to
teaching men and women how to create fabulous marriages and wonderful, godly and forever families!
Tiz has an interactive website with Blogs called "Soul Infusions--A Daily Dose of Faith, Inspiration and Motivation", where she
talks about positive, simple steps to creating an incredible life, family, business and future. Check it out at TizHuch.com.

At a time when our nation is facing so many complex issues and challenges, it may somehow seem petty or superficial to talk about the importance of Holiday family traditions.
Years ago, during some very tumultuous years in America, First Lady Barbara Bush, was asked "What can we, as individuals, do to help keep America strong and great?" She
replied " If Americans will build great and strong families, America will be a great and strong nation." This is a profound and powerful statement!
Our simple, small family units and family traditions can affect the strength and future of our nation! "As the family goes, so goes the nation!" Never underestimate the
far reaching effects and impacts of creating strong, stable, loving, compassionate and kind families! This is, and always has been, God's plan to establish His dominion, plans and
purposes on earth. This is a comforting and compelling truth for us. It keeps us focused on what is most important. It assures us that the time and effort we invest in our families is not in vain,
but, will be multiplied back into our own lives. Love is like a boomerang. What you give out will come back around to you! I am so thankful to say that this is true in my own family.
My husband and my kids and my grandkids (my Sugars ) are all the light of my life! They are my best friends and my proudest accomplishment in life! And I can say that they each help to
make the world a better place. Oftentimes, great impact is made from thousands of small impacts. I say that, not to brag, but to encourage others, that our daily, continual, small acts of love
add up to big, long term lives of joy, purpose and rewards!

(Meshali Mitchell did the photography, you can view her photos & prices: HERE)

Having said that, let me encourage you this Holiday to:
Create loving and fun Holiday Traditions! Make a big mess of your kitchen making and decorating Christmas cookies! Watch old Christmas movies with your family, friends and kids!
Fill your home with Christmas lights and decorations! Drink eggnog and eat lots of Treats! Be Merry! Make your home cheery and bright! Laugh! Smile! Hug and smooch!
Accentuate the positive! Eliminate the negative! Make your home a "No frowning or grumbling zone"! Play Christmas songs and sing along--out loud! Be kind!
Give to others in need! Be generous! Be thankful! Love family! Love friends! And, most of all, LOVE GOD!!!
God bless you greatly, so that, you can BE a great blessing!

And, be sure to celebrate Jesus! He's the reason for the Season!

Merry Christmas - Tiz
