I adore...

Ok, so when growing up, my mom didn't allow my sisters and myself to wear black nail-polish... I mean ever! So just recently, I kept seeing black nailpolish and so I finally got up the nerve to buy it! I bought the Butter London union jack black, when ulta was having their 21 days of beauty and it just so happens it was buy one get one free! Boom! So a $14 nailpolish now just become $7.00 ea.! Cha-Ching! Less than Essie and OPI!

So anyways, back to my story! I bought this nailpolish, I finally made myself try it on, and fell in love! I adore this color! It is the creamiest dreamiest color ever! I currently have it on as we speak!

Seriously, you need to go buy this! It's not a true black, it's creamy and it's almost like a really really dark grey!

Plus it flatters your hands! Big score right there! Most darker colors make your fingers, slightly stubby/fatty, but no, this stuff is amazing!!!

You will not regret it!

Plus, when you brush it on and a top coat, it is the shiniest! So great!

HannahLee's was styled...

So last night, I began to go through HannahLee's wardrobe, pairing things she never thought about pairing with each other!

She had three pieces she was stumped with, so I helped her out!

She had a pair of shorts she didn't wear during the summer, so she wanted to be able to wear them in the fall/winter.

She had a pair of bright tomato red pixie pants from J.crew.

A leopard damask coral red pants from the Loft.

She also had a really cute teal lace dress she needed to wear to a rehearsal dinner this weekend! (not pictured)

Here are the outfits I styled:

Wholesale basics...

I remember when I was 11-14 probably, my mom would buy my basics there. I would tell my friends. (Big mistake) and they would just turn their nose up, but I didn't care, I liked some of the clothes that they had there!

To me buying basic clothing there isn't that bad! It's definitely improved since I was 11! But it's what you feel comfortable with!

Don't underestimate the basics at wholesale warehouses. I know, I know, who wants to say they bought something at Sam's club! But you can find great finds at both Sam's & Costco!

I really like the "ugg" boots at Costco... The sheepskin & suede are real, and at a fraction of the price I can get Kirkland's brand instead of the ugg brand name! Same shoe, different name!

Another thing you can find are long sleeve T-shirts and short sleeve tees from Eddie Bauer cotton model $9.95! It may not be a big name for ya, but it is quality, And if i can get quality & quantity, I feel like I just won jackpot! Also you can buy jewelry there... Sam's carries Judith
Ripka too! And Costco carries name brand jewelry too.(movado, Michele, coach) you also can find cashmere at both places!

It's worth going through the clothes, even if you decide not to buy! But the option is there for you. One thing I do want to say is: they don't have dressing rooms. So you can ask whoever works there if you can try something on in the bathroom or you can buy two sizes and return whichever one does not fit! Both warehouses have phenomenal return policies!

I say, if you have a wholesale card to either/or store, you can buy your basics for your wardrobe. T shirts, sweaters, possibly jeans... You name it! But you can never have too many basics.

I, myself, like to buy neutrals and build my outfit that way, like, if I have a black t-shirt and black skinnies, then I can pair it with leopard shoes, a coral blazer and a floral scarf, all by using neutral, you can wear color by doing so! I for one, wants to look chic, not like a walking rainbow!

So I encourage you just look. You may find so amazing things! : ) -ryn

Weathered skin...

I always like to socialize with the older women in my life. I learn so much from them! How to be a woman. hoe to be gracious. How embrace etiquette! How to be a good wife and mother, for when I'll need that knowledge! They have lived lives longer than I have been alive. They have deep laugh lines that are embedded into their skin. Those lines are the prettiest too. We may not realize it at first, but those laugh lines tell a story... A beautiful story.

I am not one that is pro cosmetic surgery, but if you like that option, then I say go for it! Full speed ahead!

But these women are all so beautiful, because they show off their laugh lines.

You know how to tell how a woman is comfortable in her skin? It's when she has those little lines around the corners of her eyes! That's one of the prettiest details of her face!
I say, flaunt those lines, don't dread them...
Each one of those lines tell a story, each one has a memory of something that was funny! Hilarious even! It's with each little line that keeps the face interesting... Mysterious even. Those women I see, sporting the laugh lines, are the ones who shop at anthropologie, j.crew & Neiman Marcus. The ultra classy ones, who are not afraid to be themselves, to let their hair down, the ones are a bit weathered but can endure any storm.
So I encourage you ladies, to get comfortable with yourselves. you ate going to be you for a loooong time, so get used to it. Don't freak out about those super cute lines on your face. You are beautiful.

I want to be like them. I want those laugh lines : ) don't you?!

SYTYCWBANT

So you think you can't wear black & navy together?!

Think again! Because you can! And it's easy too! Granted they are both dark colors and people say you can't wear them together, but you can!

You may want to wear some tan/brown leather to break up the colors.
One way to mix colors is to do simple!

Try wearing all black, brown leather bag & navy nails. Medium daring: wear black skinnies, black shirt, & navy blazer wear some tan leather shoes/bag, color(try a scarf) and maybe some gold tone jewelry... and then daring would be to pair: a black pencil skirt, with a navy blazer & dark brown shoes & bag with accents of color... Also, a navy cutesy dress with a black leather moto jacket and black booties, and a tan leather purse.. or vice verse... the possibilities are endless really!

It's so much fun to play with fashion! It may seem daunting at first, but once you get hang of things, you should see the silver lining : )

I promise you you won't look like a bruise if you wear black and navy together, you will if you throw purple into the mix! Jk! : ) But you should even push the limits with throwing a dark brown into the mix : ) Uber chic!

Helpful hints:
1.Stripes always help! They break-up the boldness.
2. anthro/vintage type floral works.
3. Use grey too, it helps, pair it with a grouping of black, navy & grey, or brown, grey & black, or grey, brown and navy! so combos to choose from!
4. For colder months, black opaque tights fit nicely into your wardrobe...

Here are some examples:

Enjoy! - Ryn
