Beware of this mascara! I tried it and it totally irritated my eyes! I bought it because of the color. Do you know how hard it is to find periwinkle blue mascara, let me tell ya, it pretty darn hard! But all is well since I just made my own with clear mascara and electric blue mineral makeup eyeshadow!
Ok So this mascara is from Calvin Klein. It's not my favorite. It was hard to get off my lashes when washing and removing my makeup & like I said it irritated my eyes! ... If you know of a legit blue mascara that is not Calvin Klein, hook a sister up! : )

Soul Searcher: Happy Valentines Day, y'all!
Soo, I had this really awesome idea to make cute, cunning and funny/quirky valentines... But the chances of me actually doing them are mighty slim... Since I still have yet s boatload of sewing & paperwork to do before next weekend for ETA Dallas! : /
So, I'll greet you with these kind words:
Happy LOVE Day! Eat chocolate. Laugh. Be spontaneous! Pay it forward. Buy someone coffee. Don't do anything you don't want to do. Find love. Expect love. Love LOVE. Love people. Love God. Be a lover of His presence. Send presents. Give Love. Surprise someone. Be a lover not a fighter. Smile. Get dressed up. Be a hermit and stay in. Love on someone!
Love each and everyone of ya!

Happy Anniversary SBR!!!!
I cannot believe it! It's a year since, I had my first "official" client. Monday February 11th was THE day. The day I stepped out and did my thing! Or ahem, God's thing! I'm so glad he made me who I am!
Ahh it was a crazy whirlwind of a year! And yet soo much fun! : ) can't wait for this year!
so excited to experience this next year!!!
Here are some pics from this past year to prove such an incredible year! Just the highlights, these aren't even all of them!
P.S. The whole icing on the cake is real! I believe that the icing is: to empower women to figure out how to be beautiful in their own skin! (You do not have to dress in a sleazy way just to show that you're beautiful, the way you do it is to not reveal so much and let the clothes speak for ya) To let them know how truly valuable they really are. The worth they are is so tremendous! If I can pamper them each time I see them, then I see it as I am doing my job!

Styled: Holly
One of the great things
about having a live-in, is using my styling powers on her! ; ) it was great, she had a 3 day event that she needed outfits for, she was concerned about how artsy she could go, so we did a combo of artsy/conservative... It was the perfect mix too! It's just enough artsy to feel comfortable. And yet conservative enough to take seriously!
When you are in a situation when you don't want lose your artsy flair but when you are concerned about not being conservative enough, choose pieces from your closet that can work together.
1. Choose neutrals. It's a good starting point. It also helps ground the outfit. As you see in both pics; there is a black "something", whether it be pants or a shirt, it helps the whole look to flow.
2. Choose something with color. You can totally do the whole no color thing, but you can also through in a touch of color. As you can see with the pants she has on, they have salmon color shaped diamonds all over them. And with the plaid in the other picture, it has a punch of color.
But with each of these looks,, they flow nicely! There isn't a piece that is out of place.
3. Add some flair! It's ok to add glitter, shimmer or sparkle as its not distracting. You never want to overpower your outfit with something that distracts from the other elements in your wardrobe. NEVER a good thing!
But you do want a nice flow in your outfit. A Softness to the whole look, nothing too harsh!
You can totally conquer this look of conservative/artsy!

Beauty find: Tarte creme eyeliner
My new best friend, ladies, is truly the BEST! I'm surprised we didn't find each other sooner! This pot of creaminess is utter perfection! One of the Best Christmas gifts eva! It even comes with a great brush too!
It's so easy to apply, you dip the brush into the creamy goodness, then use the lid to wipe off the excess of the eyeliner. Then apply to eyes... I haven't used it yet for winged eyeliner, but I have used it for the smudge look. I REALLY like that look too! It's worth the money for this item and the time to go out and buy it too!
It's pretty much a fool proof eyeliner! : ) and it stays ALL day! Which I don't know about you, but that's a big deal to me!
The color I'm using is bronze. You may be able to find these eyeliner pots on clearance right now from Christmas kits...
I was just a beautybrands and saw some kits from Christmas, for 35% off!!! Look and shop around for sure!

Procrastination & a Birthday...
Everything seems better than trying to do an outline for some classes I'm teaching at the end of February at ETA Dallas! I've cleaned my bathroom, my bedroom, organized my jewelry, wrote this and put away the final part of Christmas... (I know it sounds bad!) and I've been thinking about how I am turning 25 in the next two weeks! : / I love my birthday, but I'm a quarter of a century! What have I done in my 25 years of living?! I was talking with My friend Holly, and I let these words come out of my mouth: "what do I have to show for it?" And she said:"if you dont see something you like, change it!" Brilliant words, right?! So this year I'm going to do at least 26 things I haven't done yet that I want to! I'm excited about it too! 25 is about taking risks! Life & fashion : ) The Lord be with me the entire time too! : )
Question for you! What was your favorite birthday memory ever?!

Style find: vintage tees
Seriously, how cute and somewhat nerdy of me to like and own this! But I love the look of vintage tees and the NASA is just perfect for me, since I don't prefer to wear most of the bands, NASA was the better choice! But yeah, this shirt is awesome! I can even see the "perfect" outfit for it too!
Which that's a good thing, girls if you can come up with at least two outfits with the item you want to buy, with the items already in your closet... You should probably get it! ; )
Also, if you find an item that you just love and its running low of that item, consider buying it, because if let it go, you may never see it again!
But back to the outfits to style a tee like this:
Blazer, dark maxi skirt, wedges
Blazer, darker wide-leg flowy pants, ballet flats.
Also would work to pair the tee with a tea length skirt, booties, moto jacket or mr.rogers sweater... Or even a vintage tee with a pencil skirt, so chic!
Skinny jeans are also awesome, and flare jeans are kinda rocker-ish :)
Whatever you prefer really!
Go get yourself a vintage tee! You can find vintage tees at target & old navy in the men's sections. Also thrift stores are sometime a good source too!
Super cute right?!
